    Default This Years Hertl

Last season all signs pointed to Hertl making a big impact if the situation played out how many expected. Took him in the late rounds and was able to sell high, and cash in on the buzz, prior to his injury.

Who do you guys see this years darkhorse to select in the late rounds? I am looking at Lee,Manta and Draisatl as possibilities

Impersonally never thought Zibanejad would have been projected as a dark horse but I've actually heard similar projections about him from a few other posters (wasn't even Ev or Notch). He may be an interesting guy to watch. I'm not convinced someone else has officially claimed that stellar forward role (jury still out on Ryan and Turis IMO). Karlsson can't be the only offensive force.

Zibanejad is a interesting pick now that I think of it. Other possibilities off the top of my head, assuming they don't have to be 2014 draftees, would be Anders Lee, Kuznetsov Burakovsky (looong shot), Barkov and Drouin. If only looking at 2014 draftees Draisatl is the best bet in my opinion.

I'd look at one of the Anaheim wingers, someone like Devante Smith-Pelley as a good candidate. Maybe Etem but I am more confident in DSP.

Zibanejad has been totally off my radar this off-season- hes an interesting case though. Should be given bigger minutes with the Ottawa exodus- in theory anyways. Havent seen much of him though- or how he has been utilized...

My two choices would be Nikita Kucherov in TB and Charlie Coyle in Minnesota.

Jiri Sekac and Jacob de la Rose of the Montreal Canadiens. Both will get a look at a top 6 forward position.
