A couple of years too late! He was crazy good at one point in time (Conn Smythe 02-03 season). Enjoy your retirement Giggy!

That 2003 Stanley Cup run he had is probably a top 10 full-playoffs performance of the last 15 years.
If that team had been a major-market team... we'd be talking about it every year in May/June.
    Simply incredible.
    I'll always remember that.

Quality goalie in his day. He single handedly beat me in playoff run of 2003.
He can now mentor young goalies - what BRODEUR should do.

No way, Brodeur should play as long as he wants to because life after hockey isn't quite the same rush as it is when you are part of a team in the best league in the world. Thinking that you may have hung up the pads a year or two before you were ready would really suck. Marty is definitely not the same goalie he was 3-5 years ago, but that doesn't mean he can't help a team and mentor that team's younger goalies. Let someone else worry about your legacy Marty! If you wanna play, play. The numbers will speak for themselves after all is said and done.

That 2003 performance was sick and the fact he won a Cup later on in his career - well deserved.
