He's currently sitting at 5-4-9 in 8 KHL games for the year, averaging 15:37 TOI and 2.9 shots per game. http://en.khl.ru/players/17790/

Pronman had this to say recently:

    Corey Pronman @coreypronman · 2h
Lean no but not ruling it out. RT @Rfperz11: @coreypronman small sample size of course but does Buchnevich have top 10 prospect potential?

It really depends on your options, but I think he is worth owning. Solid upside and already playing effectively against men in a quality league.

I have him tucked away on my bench
Had someone ask for him in trade the other day too

    Bump

Yesterday Buchnevich scored a great goal against Dinamo Riga (first of the season). https://pbs.twimg.com/tweet_video/CNgz29LWIAEK3ut.mp4

    haha nice!

I ended up drafting him last year with a late pick that I acquired through a mid draft trade.

    Happy I picked him up.

    Larry Brooks @NYP_Brooksie
1/2 NYR have had Adam Graves in Russia scouting Buchnevich, will send Chris Drury to watch him in next few weeks. Possible late-season add..

Interesting...I honestly thought he was still a few years away, he might possible still be, but would be cool to see him get some North American aciton.

Depending on how long the Rangers can keep their core together it might still be a couple years before Buch gets a chance to produce.

From what I've read, the Rangers think he might be able to jump in their line up at the end of this year. He's the best player of his KHL team right now. If I remember correctly, he already said that he is not coming to play in the AHL. I could see him in a 3rd line role.

I really hope he pans out for the Rangers. He's the only really good prospect we have

Yes, it appears to be quite likely. He has not extended his KHL contract and has said in the past that he will come over when he feels ready.

He could be with the Rangers before the end of this season.

3rd line role could very easily mean below-average production for a while. The issue is a lot of people are waiting on this guy in leagues that are not overly deep.
