    Default Benn/Huberdeau/1st for Mackinnon

I have received this offer based on value alone; is it worth the value of MacKinnon?

I don't chance it. Keep MacKinnon.

Assuming in a 3-1 trade you will have to drop a player ( never like being on that side of the trade )

Also, MacKinnon hasn't really even scratched the surface yet of his potential on a year-to-year basis. Benn is a stud, but so far Huberdeau has not materialized yet and the #1 pick is whatever at this point. I stick with the player with the insane upside and that's MacKinnon. To many questions around Hubs and the pick to warrant this deal getting done.

Benn is a star, Huberdeau has potential, the 1st is decent, but could be a dud.

MacKinnon is a superstar in the making. They are essential in a bullding a perennial team.

    I would keep him.

Depends on what 1st is. Who's available? Or is it an entry pick?

That trade offer seems like fair value. Assuming in the future you are keeping Crosby and Malkin as two of your four forwards, then you may include Benn as your third and can decide between Huberdeau and Yakupov for the fourth keeper. Neither Yakupov or Huberdeau will reach 200 career NHL games played this season so you can keep them on the farm an extra year if need be.

Benn can be a point per game player and hubs has that potential as well...but has a long way to go
But in a limited keeper I think I would hold onto mac

Are you able to shift Yakupov to your farm (under 200 GP)? This is close but I'd lean towards just keeping MacK. But I sure do love Jamie Benn!

It's worth looking into. You only start 2 Cs and already have Crosby and Malkin. So here's a chance to upgrade that huge hole at LW with the best one in the game.

In a 14 team league with plenty options arround the best player wins the deal, and like other pointed out MacK will be a superstar. If we would be talking a 20+ team league i would actually think very hard about this one.

I own all three of the players in question: I wouldn't do this.

Benn is a stud, Huberdeau is getting there - but MacKinnon is special.

I would not do this trade either. As much as I am trying to acquire Benn myself, I think Mack is just going to be one of those players you hold on to (or wish you did). Until FLA does something to prove they can win games, i'm keeping away for Hubs

Since you start 2C and 1F, there is no issue keeping Crosby / Malkin or Mack (a pretty nice core of a team when you add in Karlsson and Rask)

To be quite honest I feel the same I just wanted to run it by the clan here. The 1st is a 10th overall I think which guarentees me nothing really as anything thrown back with upside will be gone in the first 5 picks. I also would be acquiring Hubs after a pretty large slump; I know he has upside but I shouldn't be expected to pay top dollar for him (I'm a man of principle ). I have enough minor eligible players as it is and would thus be forced to drop someone or hope I can trade them for a decent asset in return which was brought up above. Really I look at the trade as being Benn/1st-10 for Mack and given I can possibly squeeze 65-70 out of him again with Landy and possibly Iggy on the wings I see no reason why he can't maintain last year's production. He currently is also rosterable on my farm for another season and a half so there is that advantage as well. I'll rep all that can there now. Anymore insight is appreciated and I'll keep handing out rep as I can.
