Default Points only: Kopitar or Karlsson?

For the league in my sig.
    I don't own neither.
But another Karlsson owner put Karlsson on the block.
Kopitars owner, a close friend of mine (non Dobberite!), asked me some help.
He's thinking of offering Kopitar straight up for Karlsson.
I don't know what to answer...
    Close call I say.
His Keepers are Tavares, Getzlaf, Kessel, Kopitar, Pavelski and one of Neal/Koivu/Iginla.
Would you prefer Kopitar or Karlsson with this set of keepers?
    Thanks guys.

Might as well take Karlsson here since they will both put up 70 pts per season. Difference is it's easier to replace Kopitar with a similar forward than it is to find a defenceman in that tier.

I keep reading this and thinking I'm missing something. How is Kopitar anywhere near fair value for Karlsson in points-only?

    Karlsson.
12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

League champ in 2013 and 2015.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Defence: Letang, Carlson, Shattenkirk, Yandle, Streit, Gostisbehere

In a league where you have to dress 4dmen, Karlsson is simply golden. A decent production for a dman in this type of league is 45 points. Karlsson gives him an honest shot at 60, with an attainable shot at 70+ (already hit it that plateau twice)

LA is defence first. Kopitar is still their number one center and point producer, but I think he will settle into a 70-75 point player Don't know what his draft situation is, but in a 12 team keep 6, he should be getting a good player in the re-entry draft to replace Kopitar.

This isn't really that close in a points only limited keeper. If you can get a Karlsson for Kopitar straight up I would do it. Its easier to replace a 70 point forward than it is to replace a 70 point dman. In my points only keeper the price for Karlsson is no less than Stamkos or Tavares.

    This.

Kopitar is a nice starting point, but I gotta think he's gonna have to sweeten the pot to get Karlsson.

Offering Kopitar and Neal might make sense if the other guy's looking for an extra keeper.
