Another Pyatt signs with European club.

Thunder Bay’s Tom Pyatt will join his older brother in the European professional hockey ranks.

On Monday, Geneve-Servette of the Swiss League announced the signing of the younger Pyatt. The move came two weeks after the club signed Taylor Pyatt, effectively taking both Thunder Bay brothers out of the NHL for this coming season.

Tom Pyatt missed 33 games due to a broken collarbone last season with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 27-year-old checker scored three goals and added four assists in 27 games. Pyatt has played in 245 regular season games with Montreal and Tampa Bay with a total of 54 points.

Good for him. He'll have fun playing with his brother over there.

Too bad he couldn't find a job in the NHL. I remember liking him in his MTL days.

I think I said it in a thread the other day... the Swiss league has become a very attractive league for former NHL players.
    Must be a sweet gig.

Taxes? Standard of living? What's the big draw vs the SHL or SM-Liiga?

Was wondering this too. I've been meaning to look into salaries in other leagues also. Could be a decent gig and be a local celebrity in some areas even haha.

Quality of living - treatment of the players in terms of locker room comfort, travelling amenities, hotel accommodations, catering etc. is second only to the NHL.

Plus, with Switzerland being so small, every game is practically a home game.
