Very stupid comparison (not surprising coming from yourself) and nobody was arguing 70 points.

Remember Chris Stewart? Bet everyone though he was a lock for 30 after scoring 28 goals in 77 games.

I'll bet Nyquist doesn't get 30 goals this year. Any takers?

Of course it's stupid, anything not proposed by you in your almighty wisdom is stupid. So is being optimistic for any young promising forward not in an Ottawa jersey apparently.

Why do you feel the need to shit all over everyone's parade with these posts? He scored 28 in 57 games last yeat! That doesn't mean we should just assume he'll get 30 every year but how is it a poor assumption to see him getting 2 extra goals in a full season? Man you're tiring.

I'll take 30 from Nyquist. Gotta put my money where my mouth is.

    What's on the line?

Whats the vegas line on this? I have to account for injuries and the fact that "under" is the safer bet

Tried to look this up and found last year's over/under on star players. Very interesting in hindsight.

Nice! Did a quick scroll through. Duchene was 70.5 O/U, finished with 70 points. I'd hate to be on the wrong side of that one haha

You really think so? I only ever see him making overly obtuse troll posts the last six months or so. It's about as fruitful as it was trying to talk to tequila.

2 more goals in 25 more games is obviously an impossibility. Christ Stewart scoring 28 in 77 is the exact same as Nyquist scoring as many goals in 20 fewer games and Stewart is the exact same type of player too. Duh!

Now the under is the safer bet? He scored 28 in 50 something last year.

I bet he won't score 30 next year. Any other takers?

Thats why Under is always the safest bet

Like I mentioned above, I would have hated to be on the wrong side of that Duchene 70.5 O/U last season. Only 71 GP though, if he plays one more game he's all good.

Thats fine though. It's only ten bucks either way

Barring injury I don't see any scenario where he doesn't put up 50-60pts this season and I look for 60-70 in the coming seasons.

Since an injury is an uncontrollable variable, and the debate is whether or not Nyquist has the ability to reach 30 goals next year why dont you make it based off of goals per game.

    30/82 = .3658/goals per game.

My vote is in favour of Nyquist reaching this.

Point prediction - 46 points (prudent) to 67 (fairly lofty).
