    Default MacKinnion deal

League in sig. A Gm really wants Mackinnion some players on his team are Toews, Ovechkin, Pavelski, Pacioretty and Tavares but I doubt he would be available. What's everyone's thoughts? Should I just hold on to MacKinnion or what should I ask for?

He wants to do this, so make him pay. I would ask for Tavares, at least. Let his desire for MacK be his undoing and your payday.

As a MacKinnon owner, I have gotten FOUR offers for him in the past two weeks.

    I've turned down every one.

From that team I would either do Tavares straight across, or ask for Ovechkin/Toews.

I still might not even accept those offers, as I really love MacKinnon.

I'm not seeing your league. If it's salary cap then I wouldn't do it. Otherwise, ask for Tavaras +. Like said above, if he wants him that bad make him pay.

I spent a portion of the afternoon watching videos on NHL.com of Nathan MacKinnon.

I suggest you do the same. He's a very special player.

My advice as an owner is don't move him.

I've been offered Taylor Hall and Tyler Seguin for him. (Not both) but each individually. And turned it down

Were all gonna know after about 25 games this year if this guy is what we think he is.

But I think he already is a top 5-7 talent. Maybe top 4

I would do it for Tavares or Ovechkin+, but if you want Tavares you might need to add something on to MacK.

Unless you can get Tavares then stand pat with MacK. Ovi isn't worth the headache and the others don't match up.

I'd definitely move him for Tavares, and probably for AO. Otherwise the rest of the options I'd pass on, maybe Toews + but I'd need to see what the + would be.

in most leagues, don't trade mack unless you are getting a giroux/tavares. depending on your league i might consider seguin/hall/ovy...you probably won't be able to trade him for crosby/malkin/stamkos.

I would only do it for Tavares

Ovechkin is 29 years old... MacKinnon is only 19 years old ( maybe even 18)... MacKinnon had only 16 less points than Ovechkin so I would not touch OV onless it an amazing offfer.

Just keep MacKinnon since Tavares owner will probably not trade Tavares

I like proven over potential but as has been stated let him do all the running... What's his ceiling? I've seen mac go for crazy offers 2/3 first line guys... Is he good? Yeah really good but what's his upside? 80-85 maybe 90 on a great year so three players at 70 doesn't half strengthen a squad so always consider the whole deal not just the key pieces.. If I'm trading mac and dropping two 50 point players for 3 70 point players I'm doing it

    No Tavares - No deal.

Then let him squirm. You'll find out really quick if he's serious about acquiring MacKinnon.

I got MacKinnon for Barkov, Kucherov, Ramo and Weircioch. After the 2013 draft just before the season started lol. Thought I might have overpayed slightly at the time, but I think it's worked out okay for me.
