I feel these two groups are very close.. Stamkos, Seguin, Benn, Backstrom, and Hall will be around for a long time.. Datsyuk, not so much.. But Big Baby is crafty, and I think he has some tricks up his sleeve.. Im going with my man BB on this one!!

No, I dont think Holtby and Niemi are close at all. I think you are giving way too much credit to Holtby and under-valuing Niemi greatly.

No No, I definitely agree with you here on Holtby vs. Niemi.. I feel Niemi will get more wins, or should anyway.. But I wouldn't pick 'B' just because of one player..

I look at it as:

Crosby vs. Stamkos
Giroux vs. Seguin
Getzlaf vs. Benn
Datsyuk vs. Backstrom
Mackinnon vs. Hall
Fleury vs. Schneider
Holtby vs. Niemi

I look at it like Team B has 5 guys I would love to have on my roster.

I look at Team C as having 3 guys I would love to have on my roster, 1 guy I would probably be trading while the value is still there (Datysuk) and one guy I try to avoid because of the unknown (Holtby).

Technically its not because of just one player, but he's the one that jumps out to me as the odd duck here. I am still a fan of Datsyuk but I am not in love with him like I used to be. Team B has 5 players that I just like more.

I wonder if I had replaced Datsyuk with Zetterberg in my top five forwards if it would change many people opinions.

After reading this I will definitely try to address my goalies.

However I do feel that Holtby is underrated and has the ability to surprise many people this season.

I feel that SJ are in a period of changing identity which could negatively affect Niemis starts.

All in all I'm glad to see that many people like my core and that it's basically between me and GM B.

I think the issue that you have with Holtby is everyone expects him to be good but there's no track record - hence I chose the e with two locks in net if Holtby has the season we expect you jump up imho
