Need opinions
I'm currently trying to acquire the 2nd overall entry pick in our league. The gm likes couture. I'm hesitant to give up a proven scorer for potential. But couture is 6,000,000 cap hit tho. I am in a position to compete for next couple of years(2nd in season last year and lost in final). But I do need to improve my goaltending. So I have offered couture, luongo, for his 2nd overall pick, Bergeron, and quick. Is this a good deal? Or am I asking to much for couture? I may lose a few points by going couture to Bergeron, but I upgrade luongo to quick. Plus I'd have the 2nd overall pick to go with the 3rd overall that I acquired during season. Bergeron isn't quite as amazing in your league as he is in ones that count FOW, but I still like this deal for you.
To be able to upgrade from Luongo to Quick, AND acquire the second overall pick?
And all it costs you is a (minor IMO) downgrade from Couture to Bergeron???
I have to assume you get refused, but if not, take this deal and run!

This offer is fairly close - I don't know how much worse Bergeron is in your format (I dont play much H2H - more a Total Points guy), but in the leagues I play in they are close to a wash - I still like the deal for you, but as I said - this isn't a format I play very often.

I think its a fair offer. Acquiring the 2nd overall is going to cost you something you don't want to move one way or another. At least you get back a decent forward to soften the blow.

I just read an article that says Couture is healing rather slowly from his wrist injury, and next year I don't see the Sharks improving on their playoff run. The East though is a little bit more predictable and Boston should have an easier time going deep. This move is also about diversifying your playoff picture and adding a great piece of BOS is never a bad thing. I think the based on the injury report the points maybe closer next year then what they would normally be, and adding 2 of the top 3 NHL draft picks is never a bad thing, you could probably turn one of those assets into a bigger piece in a future deal, I'd take the deal but it is very close.
