If it is a family member issue, can’t say it looks good if he’s missing 2 games in a row. If he thinks this is a higher priority than 2 elimination games, it must be. Sucks, but that’s life.

Colabello is hitting 5th, which means Tulo is hitting 6th. That is a good sign.

I really don't know. I doubt they would give his roster spot to anyone else. They are barely using the guys they have in the bullpen as it is and they don't have another lefty to put on the roster.

I have a feeling Gibbons is regretting using David Price for 50 pitches the other day in a blowout game. What an idiot. Price might still get used today even though Gibbons said no. He may not have a choice.

Well if it makes you guys feel any better Ryan Tepera has decent split stats against lefties.

And yeah, I'd imagine whatever is going on with Loup's family is pretty damn serious. If the guy needs to take the time he needs to take the time. At the end of the day this is only a game, family comes first. Not to mention even if he was available and something (apparently) THIS serious is going on would you really want him in the game anyway?

With Loup out Lowe, Sanchez, and Osuna will have to go 4 outs each if Stroman only goes 5. Hawkins maybe used for 1 guy.
If Stroman only goes 3-4 then Hendriks is in for 2-3 until Lowe.
If it goes extras, Hendrinks for 2-3 innings with Hawkins maybe used for 1 guy.
If it goes to 13+ then Estrada is the guy to finish.

I'm actually very confident with the options they have.

If they replace Loup, he cannot come back for the next series. That’s just how playoff rosters work. Injury, illness, concussion, or personal reasons are treated the same I do believe.

If Donaldson had gone on the 7 DAY IR for concussion, I thought I read somewhere he would then be unavailable for the next round. If you replace someone, that someone cannot play the next round, simple as that.

went to game 1 leafs vs bruins, they lost. game 1 raps vs nets, they lost. game 1 jays vs rangers, they lost.
