Jays are shit. They were performing way over their heads early in the year.

Watching todays first game of a double header against Cleveland. Garcia up 5-0 in the 4th and Cleveland start hitting at will. They make it 5-3 with one out and 2 on and Gibson leaves Garcia in when i'm thinking that he has to pull him now because the Indians are starting to feast off of him. Nope. Gibson leaves him in and Lindor hits a 3 run shot. 6-5 Cleveland. Then Gibby pulls him. Why bother at that point? lol

Canadian outfielder Dalton Pompey joining #BlueJays today from triple-A Buffalo, per industry sources. They’re expected to have more moves, too, after doubleheader yesterday.

    Time for my annual rant.

It is really stupid that the Jays do not have a home, day-time on Victoria Day. The building would be sold-out and the ratings would be high. Stupid MLB.

Good point. They begin a 3 game series with the Angels at home tomorrow so why not play this afternoon and take tomorrow or Wednesday off?

......then again, the way they are playing, the fans needed a day off sooner than later.

I thought this team over achieved when they made the playoffs. They really need to make some deals to get some high end prospects. Can't say I like this treading water methodology that seems to be taking place. Happ should be moved as well. Basically any one older with value should be sent out. All you need is to look at Houston as the model to follow. Or what the Leafs did locally.

Here’s the list of FA as of the end of the season:
    JA Happ – 12mill/yr
    Donaldson – 23mill/yr
    Estrada – 13mill/yr
    Pearce – 6.25mill/yr
    Granderson – 5mill/yr
    Loup – 1.8125mill/yr
    Axford – 1.5mill/yr
    Clippard – 1.5mill/yr

Then guys who are FA at the end of next season:
    Martin – 20mill/yr
    Morales – 11mill/2018, 12mill/2019
    Garcia – 10mill/yr
    Smoak – 4.125mill/2018, 6mill/2019 (club option)
    Oh – 1.75mill/2018, 2.5mill/2019 (club option)
    Petricka – 1.3mill/yr

Gotta look at moving every one of those guys if you’re able to. Guys like Martin/Morales, ya goodluck really. Mets were the 1 team out there looking for a catcher and Martin’s name didn’t even come into the rumour mill.

Besides Donaldson, Happ, and maybe Estrada, Clippard would likely bring in the most. Think about what Andrew Miller brought but obviously a bit less based on name value even. Clippard is having a ridiculously good yr actually right now.

If the Jays care, I wonder if anyone would take a Donaldson + Morales to clear up that 12mill next yr. Or in the same idea, a Donaldson+Martin (then salary retained on Donaldson).

#12 - Jordan Groshans SS/3B.. This kid is a MONSTER 6'4" 190. but after looking him up, he's been projected in mock drafts from 18-30. Seems a bit of a stretch, but well, also seems like several players are going early/dropping. With 40 rounds I imagine this is more common place than most other sports

Honest question... does anyone give a **** about the BJs this season? I have literally watched a single game this year and basically tuned out after that.

This has been one of the quietest baseball seasons I can remember in a long, long time. It feels like nobody's even aware that there's a baseball season going on in Toronto.
