It's hard not to just give Detroit the advantage now. Atlanta has nothing to play for and Detroit has an extra game in which Cleveland has even less to play for.
I said the same thing. They may be better off not maiking the playoffs anyway. That Boston line up would only embarrass them even further and ruin careers if they met up with them.

Im happy I have a wedding tonight during the game. It will at least distract me from the misery.

Well they are in for a 1 gamer vs the O's tomorrow night. Any guesses on who will start? I would say Liriano as the odds on favorite but Stro may go as well. It really doesn't matter since it will be all hands on deck kind of thing. IF the Jays beat the O's I think they can actually beat the Rangers. That will be a great series to watch. Hope the Jays show up vs the O's.

Well Happ and Sanchez are out likely. Sanchez HAS to be out, unless they need him out of the BP, but even then its super unlikely. Estrada would be pitching on 3 days rest, so likely not him.

Liriano had 10Ks, 0hits, 1 walk in 6.1IP vs the Orioles sept 28th. That was his only start vs the Orioles with Toronto. I think you almost have to start him over Stroman.

Whoever gets the start I just hope they bring their "A" game.. Definitely happy the game is at home!!

I bet none of us imagined that when we acquired Liriano, that he would be our starter in a 'one or done' game.. Boy oh boy..

3 years ago while with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Liriano on the hill, Russell Martin behind the plate, this combination won the wild card game together!!

I wont be surprised if both make an appearance in this one, especially when you consider how shaky the Jays bullpen is and how little Gibbons trusts too many down there.

This and Liriano's last game against the Oriole's has to make him the favorite here.

I like the idea of starting Liriano against the O's (who have a very hard time hitting lefties), and having Stroman on a constant call at any sign of struggle, and ready for every inning after the 5th. 5-6 out of Liriano, 2 out of Stroman and Osuna in the 9th (if tight) would be a great way to go.

Glad that the O's rotation has also gone all-out down the stretch. Can't wait for Tuesday!!
