Was really nice to have baseball back yesterday, even if it was just spring training.

This offense is still pretty potent, but as Olympic just said, there's no chance in hell that we get as lucky as we did last year wrt starting pitching/injuries to those starters.

Morales gets 35+HR if he?s healthy, I?m calling it.

    I hope you're right.

35 HR and over 100 RBI... really not a huge step down from EE at a bargain price.

He did hit 30HR last yr and 93RBI in a pitchers friendly KCR park. So it?s not outlandish he gets 35HR this yr.

    Pre All-star Break:
    15HR, 0.258Avg, 47RBI in 81Games
    Post All-Star Break:
    15HR, 0.270Avg, 46RBI in 73Games

But to jump from 22HR in 2015, to 30HR in 2016, to 35HR in 2017 would be quite the arc.

JB playing maaadddddd. We’ve all seen him locked in when he’s mad (see any time he hits vs O’Day) but man has he just played mad all preseason/WBC. I wonder how long he can keep this up

I am more curious how long he can stay healthy over how long he can stay mad. LOL!

I'd just like to see his avg above .250 this year. A line of 140gp - .255-30-90 and fans should be happy

Are the Jays a playoff team this year?

I personally don't see it. I don't think they will win the division but could potentially squeak into a wildcard.

And Jose is going to have a big year at the plate. Guy knows how to channel his rage.

I'm not worried about preseason - means nothing.

They've got a 50/50 shot at the wildcard I'd say.

With most teams, it will come down to health. I like their starting pitching and while I think their offense isn't the same, I think it's good enough to get into the playoffs. As I say, it will all come down to health.

If they can get the same overall pitching as 2016, they are a wildcard team. AKA, they are in it to the last series of the season.
