Looks like Gibby is going to get bailed out again.
Can't stand him though. Keeps making poor decisions. Why not even pinch hit hot hitting Martin?????
Could we be ahead instead of down 7-6 if he pinch hits

Navarro isn't with the team yet.

They put Thole in to avoid Martin catching two games in 24 hours. It's a really questionable decision but they are obviously privy to information that we aren't. Perhaps Martin is dealing with some stiffness/soreness.

On that note, Gibby never pinch hits Martin into a game that he's supposed to have off.

Not sure exactly why, but it's just travel delays I think.

I guess the Thole bit didn't hurt us in the end because Minny did their best to let us win.
A 2-run inside the parker to come back and win it is a nice turn around from the last time there was an inside the park home run in a game the Blue Jays were playing in. I'll take the W no matter how it comes about.

I saw Navarro in uniform last night.

I really have no clue then. I haven't heard anything about it.

He's done it before. Brings him in for an at bat and then moves him to DH and leaves the other catcher in. I think he did it last week actually...

I know it won't happen but I can't see Jays winning the WS with him at the helm.

It's not the manager, but the players that bring the championship home. I think we can do it with Gibby

Yes I agree but a bad decision in a key game can cost you. And he seems to that consistently.

You can't move someone into the DH slot, but you are right, he has pinch hit this year a few times.

All I can say is it's a good thing the Jays were playing the Twins this past weekend. Pitching was shaky for both teams but the Jays offense was the difference. Pitching needs to be better. At least we have Happ and Sanchez going against the Orioles the next few days. Even Estrada has been questionable the past few of his starts.

    Huge series starting today!

If we can take 2/3 from the O's I think that will more or less eliminate their chances of catching us... not that they were ever the real threat anyway.
