With the Angels next, the team can easily take 5/7 too.

Plain and simple, outside of Osuna, Stroman, Sanchez, and Donaldson, nobody on the roster is really worth much of anything.
Nope, I'm not misrepresenting the performance of anything. I'm talking about completely blowing up the team, including the pieces that people think are untouchable.

Osuna and Stroman have arguably never had higher value. Odds are you have to sit on Sanchez for the time being with all of his blister issues. People would still likely pay a large sum for Donaldson.

Jays went a more all-in route which is why it's basically going to be impossible for them to recover from this situation where most of the key core pieces are aging and are starting to play worse. We paid a premium for a bunch of guys in their prime/after their prime and now the lack of talent in the farm system is showing.

Hes become a good hitter, but this won't be repeated. So unless they see him staying in 2019, best to trade him.

This is what I'm talking about. If all of the experts are saying these guys don't have any value, and if the Jays trade them it will be for not much, but "something is better than nothing", than either you or they are wrong, and I know where I'd be putting my money.

He's likely correct. But again, the problem is that there aren't many buyers in need of a first basemen.

I said too much weight just because they throw with a left hand. Never said a lot of value. If you looked at their stats and ignored LHP, no one would want them for any price. But because they are LHP, teams will inquire. Like the Royals have with Liriano.

No8/No5 prospect, doesnt matter the rank at that point. MLBs ranking is No8, but they aren't updated for mid-season.

For ease, I've quoted your comment on where you said they would have a lot of value.

Yeah that's generally a problem. At first glance it seems like the Red Sox could really use an upgrade at 1B over Mitch Moreland but I doubt that's a deal that'll happen within the division.

Liriano was doing somewhat better around that time, Estrada I think had roughly the same periph/advanced stats as Quintana but I had forgotten about years controlled on Quintana.

I dont think Pillar has much value at all. Hes a good centerfielder but far from anything special. He makes some highlight catches but a lot of them are "tv catches". Basically if he keeps running instead of diving to make the highlight reel on TSN, he's still making the catch.

Im not sure there are many teams looking for his services.

I still think there's a reason why Trout isn't seen making diving catches and guys like Kiermaier and Pillar are. Trout doesn't need to dive because he's already there.

But as a Jays fan, Pillar is fun to watch. And his arm is being shown a lot more this yr than in the past, but without results. His throw ins are lasers it seems.
