    Default Ridiculous offer?

    League in sig.

Was offered Evander Kane, Keith (or OEL), & 3rd

    for my

    Seguin, Benn, 4th.

With our league categories, Kane is a stud, and Keith/OEL offset some of the point losses by losing Seguin/Benn, as I will only be able to draft a 35pt D-man or so.
I'm not sold on it, but I do want Kane. Would you pursue this with a counter or just drop it all together because it's too far off? Would you consider it if it were just Kane for one of Seguin or Benn? Or is the point drop just too big to justify for the gain in peripheral stats?

Stand pat, E Kane really only add hits for you, which I'm sure if you really wanted to you could draft a goon for.

Points are more valuable then hits, and both Seguin and Benn will outpace Kane by a good margin.

I love Kane in multicat leagues for the same reasons as you but I'm not convinced he can stay healthy and until he's traded he's not going to be much of a prolific scorer.

I would walk away from this; I don't think it's close and I think it would be unwise to give up either Seguin or Benn. You're losing a lot of truculence in Benn that you would be counting on Kane to make up for.

Thanks for the input - and I do agree. But would you consider a 1-for-1 swap or is it still not worth it in your mind?

Personally, im a huge believer in Benn, one of my favourite current players... he and Seguin will continue to be successful being the 1-2 punch in Dallas.. I see very little risk in owning those 2 players.. Kane on the other hand is more risky to own in my mind.. dont get me wrong, i like his game as well, but his points arent as guaranteed and Seguin and Benn.. he will out hit both but Benn will give you decent production in that category as a forward as well.. you already have Weber and Buff, so not too much of a need for you to upgrade your D that i can see.. I would stick with what you have

Have to agree with the above, Kane COULD become better than these guys especially given that he's a a hit/PIM/sog superpower, but I still just don't like how he gets injured and plays on Wpg. I also noticed he was miserably unsuccessful on the Winnipeg powerplay, which really puts him below Seguin and Benn.

I would keep Benn/Seguin even if E.Kane is a multi-cat stud in your league.. Keep the points!!

If you have the chance to re-draft d-men like JJ and EJ, those are both two pretty good options for multi-cat.

    I would also stand pat.

I like Benn and Seguin as the two best players in the deal but by all means it's not a ridiculous offer. Kane and OEL/Keith are high level players as well. This is simply an offer where you should say "thanks, but no thanks".

    Keep what you have.

I don't think I'd trade either of Benn or Seguin for Kane & Keith(or OEL).
