Worst trade you've ever made?
I think we've all had one of those trades we regretted instantly or felt the pain of a long term burn. What's yours?
The worst one that I can recall is trading H. Sedin and Ribeiro for Rick Nash a few years ago. It doesn't seem extremely terrible looking at it today but the numbers were badly in my trading partner's favor at the time. I had a man crush on Nash at the time and didn't look at how much value I gave up for him.

I actually haven't made too many ones that I really look back on and hate.
I did trade James Neal when he arrived in PIT for David Backes (STL).
Neal out-performed Backes in multi-cat for a few years, but our league added FOW & HIT, so it evened out.

Traded Sam Bennett for a 2015 1st rd pick (potential top 4)
Traded Filppula for 2014 11th overall pick (Kasperi Kapanen)
Traded Franson for Perron
Traded Andre Benoit for Chris Butler
Previous year
Traded Alex Killorn for a 2nd rd pick (just to free up a roster spot)
Traded Kreider for Gallagher (desperation move to win the league that year)
I've also dropped players like Palat and didn't pick up really valuable prospects when they were on waivers cause I was too short sighted to drop some of the players that I alreay had.
I got lots of regrets here.

A young sprout named John Tavares, a 1st and 3rd for (SUPERSTAR) Mike Green. This was right before Green's head exploded. Fun side note, the GM who got Tavares didn't keep him.

Traded for Kessel, dealing off Wheeler and Parise just before last season.
Didn't look too bad until this latest offseason, when a majority of our GMs (not me) voted through an amendment to increase the point values for Hits and Blocks.
Instantly made Kessel/Wheeler effectively a 1-for-1, with me giving away Parise for nothing.

Back when Lindback got traded to TB (days after if I remember correctly), I sent Jonathan Bernier and a 2nd round pick (my team wasnt very good so it was a decent 2nd round pick in a 24 team league) for him. Bernier was still stuck behind Quick (and would be for another season) when I made this deal and it looked like Lindback was on his way to becoming the starter I needed for my UHL franchise.
Probably the one I regret the most right now.
