I see. It's always tough to own some high-profile player not delivering. Have Letang my own and had at some point Gaborik. Perhaps I am just arguing for them to comfort myself

I was never a Ward fan, and always thought he was overrated. So since I always thought he was bad, and he played bad, he played to my expectations, so he couldn't be frustrating.

Gaborik has always been that guy that could get 80 points in a year. Easy call for Gabby.

    Gaborisk for me.

Ward has already close to no value, so anyone taking him in a fantasy league should not expect much. Gaborisk is still a possible homerun.

Had to go with Gabby. I wouldn't even go near ward, so that takes all the frustration away.

To me, a big part of frustrating is the variability in what to expect:

Ward could be anywhere from pretty good all the way down to abysmal (see last season)
Gaborik on the other hand could be anywhere as high as elite down to more or less pedestrian.

It always hurts more when an elite player falters, rather than just a pretty good player.

    Vote here goes to Gaborik.

Also offering an official prediction that Ward bounces back to take the starter's job in CAR, wins 30+ games on .916 SV% making him a great buy low, and more of a frustration to all those who gave up on him just recently.

Here, I find Gaborik isn't as hard to own and has shown he can still perform well compared to Ward.

It's kind of amusing how the majority of posters are voting for Gaborik, but he's losing in the actual poll.

So it's a guy who is a highly effective player with a wonky and fragile groin/hip vs. a dumpster fire in goalie pads?

Surprised Ward is ahead, but guess many people still expect him to be a valuable goalie.

If you don't expect Ward to be valuable, then he's not as frustrating. That's my thinking and the reason I voted Gaborik.
