If Ehrhoff were still in Buffalo I think this would be a fair deal.
With Ehrhoff in Pittsburgh I don't think Soderberg and a late pick is enough.
I am being offered Soderberg and a late pick for my Ehrhoff. H2h league with g,a, SOG, PIM, PPP, SHP. I have some good options if I get the pick - BRitchie, Poierer, etc. but I guess I wanted to see what people thought of Soderberg's upside and is he worth getting as the main piece back Ehrhoff. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I consider Ehrhoff a consistent 40pt+ threat every year no matter what team he is on. He also contributes well in other cats for H2H. I don't know how valuable Dmen are in your league, but trading a 40pt+ Dman for a forward that may not qualify for 50pts is not a good trade in virtually any league. Adding a late pick does not make up the gap either. I would be looking for a consistent 60pt forward to make this trade about equal and Soderberg is not that and maybe never will be. Now considering Ehrhoff's upside this season jumped with going to PIT you have to sell him as good bet for 50pts and the return has to be even better!
I'd hold out for a better return on Ehrhoff.
Thank you. That's what I was thinking as well.
So what if it is Zucarello instead of Soderberg? I don't want my homerism to get in the way.
Just remember that Ehrhoff is on a 1 year deal with Pitt. So the value of a penguins rostered Ehrhoff may only be for a season.
While I like Zucarello's game I think Soderberg has more upside. He scored 48 points in 14 minutes of ice time, Zuc scored 59 in 17 per game. Soderberg has the size on his side of the ledger as well not to mention he is going to be UFA next season.
I would ask for more or keep Ehrhoff.
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.
It's still early in the summer. I'd ask for more for Ehrhoff. Maybe you can come back to this trade later on, and if not it's not a big loss for you. Ehrhoff will have value for months still, if not all year.
How deep is your league? What does your D look like? I think that may play a role in your trading Ehrhoff and for who.
