    Gawd... 4th line checking wing.
Stevie Y must like the thought of having a bit more experience in the clubhouse... because Morrow as a skater is all but washed up.

So he's an Assistant Coach, right?

They can't be paying him to play hockey, can they?

This isn't a horrible signing as long as expectations are kept to a reasonable level. He'll still hold a little bit of value in leagues that count PIM as well.

Just when I though Stevie Y was a genius. Pay me 1.55 (hell, I'd do it for less) and I'll bring more to the dressing room, and possibly the ice

I guess the scarier element is that's one promising forward who's staying in the A for another season...

I wonder if it was Morrow reaching out to Stevie Y for the job?

Dumb, I don't get this at all. Great character guy I guess but I think that money could have been better spent

I think in Morrow's case, it's more about the intangibles he brings than his on-ice contribution. The Lightning are still a very young team, I don't think it's that horrible of a move.

    Maybe in your opinion.

I'd do it for 1 million even. No problem.

well you say that, but that signing put's them over the cap, now they'll have to cut someone. I just don't see the rationale beyond adding a veteran/team leader

Likely just to replace Tom Pyatt. One less spot for Drouin though. And unless something crazy happens this all but seals the fate of Brett Connolly for another year. Once Panik re-signs that gives them 12 forwards + Drouin.

This is an excellent signing for TB. Morrow is not going to take the roster spot of a young OFFENSIVE player, he's clearly a third/fourth liner at this point in his career and will show the young guys how to compete. Great signing and value. Is Brett Connolly or Drouin going to log the tough minutes that Morrow will? I don't think so. Can't have a "fantasy" team in real life. NHL teams NEED players like Morrow. Just my $0.05
