We all assume Ottawa is going to be bad but can Mr good year/bad year bounce back and put up half decent numbers again?

So you consider a good year a 910 SV percentage, yet last year he had a 911

he also had two good years in a row before last year.

i think his starts go down this year though

also lehner re-signs regardless, nit sure what you mean

I voted for CA, just because he'll likely screw Lehner owners out of another year.

He may be considering that Anderson had a .939 with Ottawa in 10/11, .914 in 11/12, back up to .941 in 12/13, then .911 last season. If you look at them in a small setting like that, then sure it could be seen as Good/Bad/Good/Bad? I think one of Anderson's biggest issues is that he's a career 2.75 GAA and this current Ottawa team might have a little trouble scoring...

The .939 was a short sample though. If you include his year with Colorado it's probably close to 910.

I expect about what Jonas Hiller did for Anaheim this year. 2.4-2.5 GAA with around 915 SV%. With possibility of better numbers as he is playing for a contract.

I believe you are correct and I purposely didn't include that side of his season only to try and speculate the OP's thoughts on the matter.

This seems to be what we're seeing, but I'm not convinced with Anderson. The goalie position is much more difficult to get a handle on. He's way down my list this season for sure.

I think he will have an average season. The Sens will be an average team at best and I think they might start to give more starts to Lehner to see what he can do before the contract extension.

Why? The Prospal thing is more a coincidence than a general pattern you can attribute to another player IMO. The Sens are not going to win a lot of games and their D is mediocre at best.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

I believe the league average for goalies is around .915 sv%.
So... the poll is a little off to call .910 sv% as "good".

I'd say it will be an average season.
Like Bernier, he'll probably get shelled with a lot of pucks... because Ottawa is going to be bad, make no mistake, bottom 3-4 in the East.

    The SV% should be OK... between 910 & 920.
    But I think that 2.80 GAA is a very real possibility if he's seeing 33-34 shots per game. (0.085 x 33 = 2.80)

Put your money where your mouth is. Bet me. He was shelled last year, yet they still finished 10th last. Now without their worst defensive player, they will be much improved in that category. And, they are changing their system a bit.

I can already see the posts praising Ottawa next winter. People "absolutely shocked" that they are sitting in a playoff spot in January. People saying they're "Overachieving".

I don't care if it's coincidence, act of God, Voodoo, or a bunch of monkeys rolling dice. All I know is that those last few years I benefited greatly from Prospal's pattern and I'm doing the same with Anderson. I don't care about how it happens, just that it happens. And if it's wrong this year then I'll stop doing it.

Anderson was not the issue in Ottawa, the overall defensive play was.

Soo many times last year they were down early by 1 or 2 goals due to silly mistakes and then they were playing catch up the rest of the game.

I think you will see a better overall team game from Ottawa this year, similar to two seasons ago.

From your poll I would say good, because those are the stats I would expect from any starting goalie, but I think his stats will be even better than that.
