Yeah I guarantee you didn't have Columbus making the playoffs or finishing ahead of Ottawa last year.

Homerism, more like realism. You're all little sheep who base your opinions on nothing bu the standings of the previous year.

Ryan and Karlsson are better than anyone on Columbus. Tell me what is so much better about Columbus than Ottawa? ON paper, Ottawa is better in every category except in goal where it's a wash.

Columbus is a good team. The point is, if they miss this year, they're gonna be called crap and people will say they won't make the playofffs in 15-16. It's a cycle of bullshit.

it's called talent, pedigree, and mindset. Just watch him play and listen to him in an interview

Anderson is the best kind of "buy low" option. Worth holding as a 3rd goalie and see if he can get off to a good start. I certainly wouldn't depend on him to win me goalie categories on a week-to-week basis though.

All I know is I needed a second starter for one of my keepers and Anderson was available so I acquired him. I hope he rips it up this year!

Other than Karlsson and Ryan, I would not trade any Columbus player for his Ottawa counterpart. Check that, I would take Lehner for McElhinney but so would everyone.

Calling us all sheep is merely a symptom of paranoid projection on your end.

Oh boy its getting heated in here. I do see ev's point that if CBJ struggles at all this year no one will be singing there praises come 2015...and i do remember going into last year everyone loved the Sens cause they had the reigning coach of the year and added bobby ryan....so I'm picking up what you lay down big ev

When assessing counterparts, are we talking about when Bobby Ryan was playing on the first line or when he was on the third

I'd take Zack Smith and Chris Neil > Mark Letestu and Jared Boll too

Maybe...Letestu was awfully good in the 2nd half last yr, and Boll is pretty thuggy. It's a tough call.

I just want to make this clear. By saying he has a good season I assumed that Ottawa would be bad. Big Ev has maybe changed my mind a bit. Maybe I'm just drinking the same kook aid he is.

But I assumed with the season they had last year and listening to a lot of people, that at best, Anderson would only be able to put up decent or below average numbers even if he had a good year.

This is what I am hoping for, drafting him as a third and maybe he goes bonkers again.

Anderson will have a good year this year, IMO.

Ottawa is not that bad a team. They will fight for one of the last two playoff spots in the east with teams like Carolina, NJ, Columbus, Toronto and maybe Montreal if they stumble.

Ottawa played better when Spezza was out of the lineup.

NJ, Columbus and Toronto will all easily be better teams than Ottawa, you can add the Isles to that list too
The Sens will be duking it out with Buffalo, Florida and Carolina for the McDavid sweepstakes
