Default Holtby vs. Fred Andersen: Next 3 years (REP)

Who do you like more in a H2H Multi-cat Points keeper format going forward into the future?

Fred or Holtby? Where do you rank them against the field?

    Goalie scoring: Wins (W) 6 Losses (L) -3
Goals Against (GA) -2 Saves (SV) 0.5
    Shutouts (SO) 5

Last yr Fred scored 347 pts in 28 games. Holtby had 535 pts in 48 games.

Start 2 Gs, 3 G maximum on roster.

Will rep all allowed who respond. Thanks!

    Holtby.

Andersen / Gibson probably battle for starts depending upon how things go.

Holtby is a good situation. New system, great new goalie coach to help refine his game, and very solid team in front of him and improved defense. This has the makings for a very solid 2014-15 season and beyond. His path IMO is much more clearer than that of Andersen's.

+1 to this, I'd take Holtby.

Andersen is probably the better goalie but Holtby doesn't have a teammate named John Gibson causing problems. Tough choice, both Gibson and Andersen are signed for next 2 yrs and then one of them will probably be voted off the island. Holtby is on this own island but could be on shaky ground if he continues to suck. Short term probably Andersen for me even if he bunks with Gibson every other night.

I say Holtby, but it's really close, Freddie will start as 1a for sure in Anaheim, will he finish the season there? Who knows...
3 years time I think Gibson is starting in Anaheim and Andersen is starting elsewhere, he's too good to ride pine for too long IMO.

Holtby is sink or swim this year, he is a decent goalie, and maybe just maybe, the D in Washington is improved and he isn't hung out to dry every night, 3 years from now I think Holtby is still the starter in Washington.

Take Holtby, less risk ( Holtby and less risk in the same sentence is amusing consider what I went thru with him last year).
    Not THAT hairy, honest!

Holtby for me, he doesn't have Gibson breathing down his neck. I also think Holtby has the higher upside and I expect a turn around year for him next season.

I would vote for Holtby. I think Ana will play it's young duo most of the season, and again next season probably. Gibson should eventually come out on top.

Remember how hard Bruce Boudreau is on his goalies (from his time ine WSH.)

4 Team Playoffs (last 2 reg. season weeks)
Rookies are 23 years old or younger in the draft year and never reached 60pts (forward), 40pts (defense), 25 wins (goalie)

    Start : C RW LW Utility D D G

I prefer Holtby because he is pretty clear cut as the #1 in Wash, as many have mentioned.

I'm in the camp that Anaheim might take a long time to decide between Andersen and Gibson. Just because Gibson is in town doesn't mean Andersen is useless or has lost the battle yet. It's a time-will-tell situation. BUT, if Gibson keeps usurping starts, Andersen could slowly become useless. That's why I hate owning a 1A/1B goalie.
