I'd say Hamonic - Donovan and DeHaan are emerging but right now he's ripe to put up his first 40-pt season, health permitting.

I'll second all the Trouba votes. He had 37 on a pro-rated basis in his first year, so I could see 3 more as almost a slam dunk if he can get even a few more seconds of PP time a game. Owner bias I guess.

If they move Leddy or Oduya, I think he could get a shot.
He'd have to get sheltered minutes I think, but that can be good for fantasy!

Clendening and Brennan, are in that potentially great but not elite status, hence their stuck in limbo. Another in this category is Barbeiro in TB. The art of picking one that turns into a gem, like Dan Boyle (struggled to crack the line up in Florida, then gets traded to TB and explodes). Those are the guys that can make you look like a god at your drafts (took Boyle in the 9th rd., 84th overall in 00-01 ). Remember though, for every Boyle there are ten guys you'll draft that are never heard from again.

I'm certainly hopeful on the Brodie, Lindholm, Donovan and Clendening group based on my team roster. I think Brodie has a shot, he was partnered with Giordano for most of second half. With a bit more PP time he can flourish. Watching him last year he was getting his shots through which I think was an area of concern when he first came up. He has risen up the depth charts to being their #2D.

Lindholm has the potential and I know Boudreau likes him. He does need to attempt more shots though, as the slapshot analysis I saw last week had him below #100 for slapshot attempts. Donovan could definitely get there with Boyle not signing there. Clendening is a long shot but has shown he can score points... if he can make the team.

I think Trouba is a virtual shoe-in with Byfuglien moving up. Muzzin may also make a run at 40 based on his play last year.

He'll get a look but he won't get a lot of minutes this year unless they make a trade. Definitely in 2015-16.

I hope so. He seems like the perfect type of cheap contract player that team is going to need down the road.

I just picked up Clendening to stash on my farm in my sim league (eligilble there for 2 more seasons, not the team in my sig) and am hoping I snagged a good one early - gave up Chiasson for him, due to the fact that he is no longer farm-eligible and just didn't have a spot on my main roster.

Regarding Barberio - not sold on him - I watched him a bit this year and he just seems so out of his league in his own end. Lots of glaring giveaways, the kind that make the coach sit you on the end of the bench.
