There was rumors after the World Championship Tourney that someone might grab him but he didn't have a great tourney.

I would really be surprised if anyone bothered. Never say never, but I would certainly be surprised.

Maybe Laviolette will pitch for him in Nashville?

I think he gets a training camp invite somewhere. GMs have a tendency to recycle players and give them more chances than they deserve.

Yeah, I'm thinking a camp invite. And I think he'll earn a contract, but won't get the ice time to do anything with it

Does anyone know the real story with this guy? At one point I thought I had read he had found religion or something like that, and then I heard it was something different and he just wasnt into hockey. But then he was back, but never put it all together again at the NHL level. What's the deal? I've owned him in a few leagues over the years and he really cost me!

I believe that any NHL team would be a much better team with the addition of Peter Mueller. He looked healthy two years ago with Florida but for some reason he was never offered a contract for last year. He was 3rd in the Swiss league last season and he played in all but one game. These are both good signs. I'm hoping the Oilers sign him since I would much rather try him as the Oilers 2nd line center than ruin Draisaitl by throwing him to the wolves as a 19 year old.

Hopefully he comes back. Had a productive year in Europe and I was really high on him back in the day when he was still a prospect.

There's some speculation that Philadelphia has interest in him:

...and also the Bruins, as per this HockeyBuzz article from July 3rd.

Doulos : I had him on my roster for several seasons way back when. Very promising prospect for the Av's, but had several serious concussions and lots of aftereffects. After the Av's gave up, he signed in Florida...but just didn't have his mojo back.

He showed nothing at the World Championship that would indicate that he would have any NHL success but who knows.

It's sad that injuries damaged his NHL career the way it did. He had potential.
