It all depends on Koivu staying healthy. No Predator cleared 60 last year (although this is a new Preds team), and Minny's first line is pretty solid.

I really like Koivu's chance of having a great season, but I fear he'll miss time. And Neal, even on a NSH team, will be the go to guy at every offensive situation. Just my thoughts!

I actually will take ol' man Iggy in Colorado.
With the speed & flash & youth on that team... Iggy's going to drift into shooting lanes and BAM, BAM, BAM... all season.

Minnesota simply doesn't score much with their system.
Ditto Nashville... there's no poor-man's-Malkin there.

they'll all be within 5 pts of each other so it's sort of a crap shoot I think. I sort of agree with Pengwin though, I can't see Iggy not doing well on the Avs, I can actually see him having a late career year (sort of like Sakic did) with all that young talent on Colorado. I think it may prove to be the best signing of the offseason, he's a great leader and a great player

For me all have question marks

Neal has little supporting cast on a new team
koivu is injury prone so how much time will he miss
Iginla is aging and who will he play with/will there be chemistry

based on those Neal or Koivu would be my first pick as Neal will get prime ice time and koivu could go injury free... But don't think there is much to choose between them

I went with Neal. Koivu might make it really close and call me crazy but I just don't see Iggy putting up another year like he did. I could end up VERY wrong with this one, but if the bet is on Neal scoring over 65 pts or just about, I think he takes it by a handful of points, with Koivu right behind at around 60.

Note on Iginla... he actually put up 47 even-strength points (ESP) last year.
This ties him for 20th in the NHL.

The reason I mention this is because when a player starts to age... the first thing you'll see statistically is a decline in scoring rate at even-strength.
When the legs start having trouble getting up & down the ice and shifts start getting shorter.

Not so with Iggy.
IMO, there's no reason to doubt him.
It's not like Colorado needs him to be fast... he's going to be a really nice compliment to their youth.
