Default Going for the Championship this Year: How did I do?

Hey folks, just made a a couple moves in my Dynasty League, looking to take a run at the Championship this year after placing third last year:

    1. Traded Gustav Nyquist, Charlie Coyle and my 2015 First Round pick for Marian Hossa and Henrik Sedin

    2. Dropped Matt Read and Rich Peverley to add Jake Muzzin and Radko Gudas through Free Agency.

    Thoughts?

Both beauty moves if you are going after a championship.
Go big or go back to your house... as they sort of say.

I could see those moves paying off for you if you are in a win now mode. Both good moves imo.
If it doesn't work, you at least gave yourself a shot at a title with those 2 moves.

All told, decent trades. 2nd one is a no-brainer. 1st one I think is good, but not that simple. You got two solid assets, both aging and solid though not spectacular. Coyle is a sell, hurt by the Vanek signing, and since you are chasing a title, giving up the pick is not a bad thing. However, my feeling is that Nyqvist could be better than either of those guys. He has been a point per game scorer everywhere he has been and has never really not produced. If Datsyuk and Zetterberg can stay healthy, the Detroit offense could score in bunches. Their problem is going to be defense, not offense.

I personally would have waited one more season and held onto that 2015 1st rounder.. I also think Nyquist will be putting up Hossa like numbers in a few years..

Classic " win now" transactions! Smart moves with conviction on a championship run. Going " All in".

Muzzin was on the wire as he had only been getting about 1.33 FP/G splitting time with Willie Mitchell.

Gudas wasn't a terribly good option, until we increased the value of hits this year from 0.1 to 0.25 - really boosted his value.

Thanks for the advice everyone - I've repped y'all for the assistance.
