Are the Flyers a playoff team, as they are now?

Ya I think so. A lot rests on Steve Mason though, and that's a scary thought. If he can repeat last season they're comfortably in the playoffs because I wouldn't expect such a slow start like they had last season. The east is weak, they should be able to make it.

The East is weak, indeed. I was just looking at the Flyers roster and their back end (G/D) doesn't really jump off the page and slap ya in the face, if ya dig. Then they toss Hartnell. Makes ya wonder, is all I'm saying.

But you're right, Mason's ability to establish a consistent and reliable game will be key here.
