moving apps to a SD card on Android tablet

I bought my son a Hisense tablet for Christmas this past year. He plays a few games on it but he has run out of memory so I went and bought him a 16GB SD card for it. I can't for the life of me figure out how to move apps to the SD card. Yes, I have googled it and found many sites that instruct me how to do it. Pretty much every website tells me that when I go to apps, and click on the app I want to move, I should see an option that says "move to SD card" but it doesn't come up for me as an option.

Anyone got any tips or ideas on how to figure this. The ole Axeman would sure be grateful so I can get my son off my back.

find your Application Manager, it should be somewhere in your Settings

once there you select the program you want and a bunch of info and options should show up for the program, one of those should be move to SD card

I have no idea where the Applications Manager is. I've looked for it but I dont see it.

I can click on the option that says apps, and it lists all the apps. Once I click an app i have the option to force stop, uninstall, clear data, clear cache, etc but I do not see an option to move it to the SD Card. This is the exact thing all the web sites tell me to do but I dont see the option.

And yes, I can see the SD Card under the storage option. its there waiting for me to put stuff on it.

On Android, some apps are movable to SD card, some aren't, it depends on the developer. Instead of going through them one by one to see which are movable, try downloading this free app, it's called Link2SD, but you'll need your tablet to be rooted though:

Another idea would be to move videos or pics to the SD card if you have any instead of apps to free up some storage. Hope this helps!

It's something you do to your tablet to allow access to other parts of storage on your device that you usually don't have access too, but I'm assuming yours isn't rooted since you don't know what it means!

Have you tried this yet?

Go to Settings > Storage > Preferred install location > SD card (the names of the options could differ on different devices)

Afterward, you will be promted to reboot device, choose 'Ok'

Hopefully, you should be able to move some apps to the SD card.

It should be under settings and no, you don't need to root your tablet.

Then, when I click the storage option, this is the top part of the screen that I see.

Then I can scroll down on the storage options to find the SD Card
