I think Florida's trading the pick, and I suspect the Canucks will get it. If not, I think they take Ekblad. If so, then I think VAN takes Bennett

1. ekblad
2. dasraitl
3. reinhart


oilers have a lot of weaknesses but right now their D has to be the biggest issue. theyve been drafting forwards for years, it's time they get that building block on the back end . nurse was a good start but ekblad could be the guy that team is missing. highly doubt he doesnt go 1st overall but i think oilers would nab him if they could. i find it hard to imagine ekblad slipping to 4th overall.

I have said this so many times on these forums. The Oilers have ZERO depth at center in their system. They have plenty of good young D coming up like Nurse, Klefbom, Marincin, Simpson, Fedun, Gernat.... They don't need another D, even if its an Ekblad. What they do desire and need is a big, strong, Anze Kopitar (Craig MacTavish's description, not mine) type of center in their system.

No way they pass on Draisaitl if he's there at 3.

The whole reason they brought in Nikitin (and for only 2 years) is to give the kids a bit more time to develop in the system.

If Vancouver gets it, I say they take Reinhart.

Murray taking Draisaitl would not surprise me (especially considering Murray has no problem keeping the pick on the back burner in Rochester for at least one year), but I still think he goes Reinhart - assuming Ekblad isn't there.
