Breaking Bad - Season 4 Finale [Spoilers]

Ya ya, I know I'm way behind, we basically watched most of it up until mid season 4 and then got distracted with other shows (new GOT season certainly didn't help) and I just got back to it now and finished off season 4.
Wow, they really closed out the season with a bang didn't they?

It's very cool how the show has been written, Walt was basically walking the line up until this point and there was a lot of ambiguity with what he was doing...what he was doing was wrong, but somehow always justifiable. Now we see what kind of man he is when his family is threatened!

Onto the final season now!

I found Walter changed after the explosive season 4 finale. He became so much darker, and the intensity of the plot / show was so extreme that at times I thought my teeth were going to shatter as I clenched them. Especially loved this trailer for the second part of season five. It is Bryan Cranston / Walter White read Percy Shelley's poem, Ozymandias. I won't explain the poem lest I give away any plot secrets to anyone who hasn't watched the series, but you can feel the power of Shelley's words as Cranston / White reads them.

HBO, AMC and Showtime have had many great shows on them including The Sopranos, The Walking Dead, & Game of Thrones, but one of the best was certainly Breaking Bad.

Anyone ever start a thread asking people to list their top five shows from the last twenty years? I bet you BB makes many of the lists...

I am one of the few who really liked BB, but thought it was a little overrated. One of the big cons for me, was that I HATED Skyler and Marie both through the series. I give the entire series, an 8 out of 10.

Here's what separates The Wire from every show, the reality of it all. When I watch tv/movies I watch for pure entertainment value. When I watched The Wire it had that feeling of reality since some of my college teammates dealt, how they got it and how some of my teammates came from those living conditions with the same choices to make.

For me, and I will get bashed for saying it, but my favourite show of all time is probably Battlestar Galactica. I loved how dark it was, and it kept me on the edge of my seat through most of the series. Plus, I really loved the characters. The ending was a little disappointing, but I am ok with that. For police drama, The Shield might be my favourite. It had quite a few "oh my god" moments, and the ending could be my favourite series finale of all time. I am really enjoying Game of Thrones right now, and I am on the verge of throwing in the towel with incredibly overrated The Walking Dead.

I just binge watched The Shield series this month. I must say, I enjoyed it. I saw Battlestar Galactica on Amazon Prime, is Trekie? I've heard great things but it looks Trekie to me, I'm more a light saber guy.
