    Default 3rd overall pick

I have the 3rd overall draft pick in this years draft. Players available are from this years draft plus any that haven't been drafted by another team and hasn't player an nhl game yet. There isn't anyone of note available outside of this years draft really. So going by my league cats and looking at my team who should I draft?

    Ekblad
    Bennett
    Reinhardt
    Draisatl

Ekblad may be available dmen tend to drop in our drafts. If Bennett and reinhart go 1-2 it would be really hard decision for me.

It would be an easy pick for me.

Take Draisaitl (assuming Bennett and Reinhart go 1-2)

You only play 4 dmen and play 9 forwards, your league is like mine where it's geared towards scoring. Also, dmen results can take a while and Big Leon on Edmonton Schwing!

If Bennett and Reinhart go 1-2, take Draisaitl. If one of the Sams falls to you, take them. I'd probably take the top 6 forwards over Ekblad in this draft for fantasy purposes (Sams, LD, Dal Colle, Ehlers, Nylander). Maaaaaybe even Ritchie. I'm just not sold on Ekblad as a good points producer in the NHL.

Definitely take one of the forwards, hoping Bennett somehow slides. Draisaitl would be my choice if both of the Sams are gone. After that I would probably go Nylander, Ehlers, Ritchie, Dal Colle. With your categories, Ritchie could potentially be a superb player.

I'm personally not a fan of taking a defenseman that early in a draft. I'd be absolutely focusing on taking Draisatl.

    i agree with the others

i would be real hard pressed to draft a defenseman in a league where you can only keep them in the minors for 41 games
