Default MacKinnon wins Calder. Who's next?

I know it is way too early to predict with any accuracy anything about next season, but the Calder trophy is a bit easier because only a certain number of players, rookies in this case, can win it.

Nathan MacKinnon just won the Calder for 2013-14. Any early (really early) picks for the Calder next year?

I am going with a guy on my keeper team, Anaheim's young goaltending stud, John Gibson. The last goalie to win the Calder was Steve Mason in 08-09, and I think Gibson can do it again.

    Bottleneckers (12/16 in 2022)
    16 team, points only. G: 2-W, 4-SO.
    Top 9F, 4D & 1G . Keep 15, Max 23
F: J. Robertson, J. Hughes, Tavares, Lafreniere, Cozens, Newhook, Teravainen, Domi, R. Strome, Laine, Rossi, Raymond, Holtz, Perfetti
    D: Bouchard, McAvoy, Morrissey, Heiskanen
    G: Vasilevskiy

It looks like every player on your team will be a rookie next year, no?

My early guess would be Drouin.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

You've hedged your bet by saying:" Someone with a name that starts with J." Interesting strategy to look like a genius.

Drouin, Gibby won't get 55+ starts. Anderson proved more than serviceable during the regular season.

    My middle name is God...

Seriously, NHL Gamecenter sends me instant updates of breaking hockey news as it happens, and I posted shortly after they announced MacKinnon's win.

According to wiki, "To be eligible for the award, a player cannot have played any more than 25 games previously in any single season, nor have played in more than six games in each of two separate preceding seasons in any major professional league." I assume his 5 years in the KHL would make him ineligible.

Barkov played in the Swedish Elite League and was eligible. Ovi played for Moscow Dynamo (pre-KHL days though), and won the Calder. Not sure about KHL, but I can't see them allowing the other leagues and not the KHL.
