I don't think it's wise to put much stock into "who a player is playing with" in order to determine value. I will take it slightly into consideration, but I do emphasize the word "slightly". Looking back throughout history, I am trying to see if I can come up with a player who benefited extremely based on who was on their line, and with the exception of Jari Kurri, nothing really jumps out at me. For the most part, I determine the value of a player on his own merit.
