As I mentioned before, I was interested to see which direction you would take. I kind of thought you would go the 1600s lamplighter route but that's almost too obvious and as you said - boring.

I like the end result very clean and simple, exactly what I wanted. I really like the font, the flame on the "s" is a nice touch. I'm also pretty happy with how you worked the league acronym into the logo.

Those damn lamplighters from the 1600's are a tricky bunch, haha. Almost had a Paul Revere on a horseback carrying a lamp going, but thought it was a bit too far off the mark.

Nice work Glorybe23. I will try and get my info. in quicker for a better chance if there's a next time. All the designs are awesome (Funky Daddy's my fave).

Now this is a pretty good segway for the August draw!

I'm going to take a couple weeks off before starting up again, however in the mean time, feel free to post your team! They will be added to the previous entries from July.

A few new changes for this draw-

August Draw

1. A few have posted league logos for the draw, which were included for the July draw, however after some consideration, I'm just going to stick with the original plan and focus on team logos and jerseys.

2. I will make the deadline to enter your team by end of day Sunday, July 20th. Hopefully that gives enough time for everyone to be included. On Sunday I will post a list of all the entries submitted.

3. 5 teams will be drawn, however I will not post the 5 winners. I figure why not make it a bit more fun, so I will just post the team when I complete the logo and hope to give a great surprise to the submitter! There might be a few clues posted ahead of time as well. OH THE SUSPENSE!

4. And to go out with a bang, the lucky #5 logo/jersey of the draw will also get a custom photoshopped photo of their favourite fantasy hockey player dawning their very own team uniform! Gotta go out with a bang ya know! (Dutch Ovens example below)

Just thinking, that if I am picked and have no allegiance to current name, but have the tag Teamramrod. I don't know what a ram rod is (I'm sure its not dirty), but I borrowed the name from the Super Troopers movie. Maybe more to work with.

Had to Google it...A ramrod is a metal device used with early firearms to push the projectile up against the propellant (mainly gunpowder). It is also commonly referred to as a "scouring stick". The ramrod was used with muzzle-loading weapons such as muskets and cannons, and was usually held in a notch underneath the barrel.

Seems boring, I like the Super Trooper spin.

Any Other info: I got chosen to take over a team in the summer 6 years ago and since I love golfing, I thought I'd combine the love of both fantasy hockey and golf with a Marmot as my symbol! They are everywhere on my home course!

Gotta say mounD, when people want a Pittsburgh lookalike jersey they usually stray away from the mid-90’s robot penguin, so hats off to ya!

With input from mounD this jersey design is based around the city of Pittsburgh. As stated above, the colours and line patterns are a copycat of the mid-90’s Pens teams. The away jersey even mimics the diagonal lettering down the chest. The home jersey dawns a giant “M”, since Pittsburgh is a blue collared city that thrives on the steel and coal industries the “M” is made out of steel with a pile…or a mound(see what I did there)… of coal in the foreground.

Overall the mounD logo is a simplistic logo, but very effective representing the Pittsburgh area.

Fantasy Website: ESPN
Primary Colour: “Surprise Me”
Any Other info: A few of my friends in my league started calling me "Arkansas Dave" based on the movie Young Guns 2 before I joined, so that's where the name comes from. Logo in my profile is current one (grabbed it from google and tweaked name with my very limited photoshop skills). I like clean traditional NHL Logos/jerseys nothing to crazy, Any other questions please ask but seeing your work I trust your judgement

Team Name: The Ruff Stuff
Fantasy Website: Officepools
Primary Colors: I'm a huge Colorado fan, going as far back as the Nordiques days
Favorite Players on my Team: Benn, PK and Landeskog

A mix of the old Nordiques powder blues with a classic centered logo would be ideal, but other colours would work as you see fit. Mountains (living in Calgary of course) in some type of background setting (maybe, ties in the Avs/Calgary connection?). The team name doesn't have to be prominently displayed either. I'm the commissioner for our league (the XGL) that is starting it's 9th season, so a custom logo for my team to include in league emails would be fantastic!!
