you lack depth in that squad so though you give up the biggest piece I think you win but it's not convincing bt considering your goalies maybe Holtby swings it...

no no no no no. haha a strong no from me. Malkin and YAndle are by far the two best in that deal, and not one of the players you get back is even close to Malkin. Two many unknowns and average players and then Eberle and Simmonds. Those two alone aren't even worth Malkin. Bad deal and you could get way more. You should be getting at least another top 10-20 players for sure and not give up the picks. I may be in the minority here but this deal looks bad.

Perron is very replaceable btw, Holtby hasn't proven himself, Reilly is a great prospect, but don't give up two top notch players for a bunch of spare parts.

You are not getting enough. You are giving up the best player, the best defenceman and the two highest picks. You should be getting more in return.

yeah I had Perron and Simmonds being less than Malkin... it's too big a deal and you get lost in it

I would offer Yandle and Malkin for 3 or 4 and get the best that way IMHO

I wouldn't really recommend trading Malkin unless you're getting a top 10 back. Someone like Mackinnon or Seguin +. If you really need depth still try and get back a stud. The big 4 players (Crosby, Malkin, Ovi, Stamkos (Tavares creeping in)) are exceptionally hard to acquire.
