    Default Sleeper D for 2014?

Never can have too many of these threads. Like a trip to the candy store...

I'll start it off: David Savard

Finally blooming after a shakey start and always had offensive potential. Locked in on the 2nd PP at minimum and looking really good with Murray. Still only 23 and earned the trust of Richards - who just said how much he loves the emergence of the young kids and he wants to continue to develop them. Nikitin also walking as a UFA helps.

If Wiz or JJ happen to get shipped then he really could emerge, but as is, I'm pegging him for 30 points next year.
    20 Team Dynasty League - POINTS ONLY (Champion - 2017, 2016, 2015)

how can Weber be a sleeper pick after a 56 pts season and always at least 48 pts evry season

sleeper pick is a player who will have a more than anticipated season... like Okposo last year... NOBODY saw this PPG season coming

mine is Morgan Rielly. He is too good to not be on top power play unit by the 20th game.... close to 40 pts.
    6 teams dynasty pool,points only,no pos. for F, Keep All, 12F, 6D, 2G count.....backup=6F, 4D, 2G, 4 roster moves( 2 at 30th game and 2 at NHL deadline)
    F- , P. Kane,Eichel, DeBrincat, Kopitar, Wheeler, Kuznetsov, Point, Huberdeau, Verhaghe, Bergeron,Keller, Batherson, Schmaltz, W.Nylander, Buchnevich,Rantanen
D- Makar, Gostisbehere, Carlson, Burns, Barrie, M. Rielly, Hronek, DeAngelo, KA Miller
    G- Vasilevskyi, Sorokin, Campbell, Markstrom
Farm: Lundell, Guenther, Holtz, Glass, E. Svechnikov, Denisenko, Newhook, Heponiemi, Lauko,Neighbours, Bokk N. Foote, Borgstrom, Dahlen, Bokk, S. Poulin, Zelleweger, Liljegren, Heinola, Perunovich, S. Knight.

Hoping for J. Spurgeon: plays a lot with Suter and gets a fair share of PP time.
And hoping for J. Demers: no more Boyle opens the door for added PP time. Had a bit of a breakout this year already.
    Points-only, Full Keeper Dynasty League
Active roster (no starts, just total points): 12 FW, 6 D, 1 Goalie

Forwards: Kucherov, Barkov, Teravainen, Seguin, Hoffman, Lindholm, Gusev, Horvat, Meier, Perron, Schwartz, Johansen, Pavelski, Buchnevich, Hischier, Granlund, Bracco

Defense: Josi, Dahlin, Letang, Gostisbehere, Ekman-Larsson, Petry, Slavin, Keith, Matheson

    Goal: Lehner, Holtby, Varlamov

    Re: David Savard

That's a sneaky pick indeed, but not sure if it all materializes next year though. With the Wiz and JJ both in front of him on the offensive d-men depth chart, and I'm not sure why the Jackets would consider moving one of them, I think 30 points is a bit of a stretch for Savard.

My sleeper picks are Jake Gardiner, Roman Josi and Jared Spurgeon.

Excellent suggestion, he totally slipped my mind. Maybe both him and Burns get time on the top PP unit?

I really like Brendan Dillon as a sleeper in multi-cat leagues.

Dillon was already a beast this year in multi-cat leagues. He should be on people's radars already.

Ryan Murray is my pick for best sleeper D.

Others (some aren't necessarily sleepers, just guys i think can take the next step):

    Lindholm/Vatanen
    Barrie
    Gelinas
    Demers
    Reilly/Gardiner
    Garrison/Edler
    Trouba

My sleeper pick is Eric Gelinas. In 2014 he put up 29 pts (17 of which were on the PP) in only 60 games and that was with limited ice time. I think he could easily hit 40+ points if he stays with New Jersey all year and is a regular on the top PP unit.

In most leagues, the word is already out on:
    *Vatanen
    *Trouba
    *T.Barrie
    *D.Hamilton

All should/could put +10pts on this year's totals.

    Deep Sleeper:
    *Matt Irwin

Depending on league depth, perhaps. I think he can take a 10+ point jump with his offensive production this year though, which would do absolute wonders for his value.
