Wiercioch is a definite "sleeper" that is off most people's radars..

I also like Donovan and Brodin!!

I like Nick Holden for a sleeper. If he's given some decent PP time, he could be a productive D-man this year.

Michael Del Zotto fits in the sleeper category?
24 years old. Had a bad season but had 37 and 41 points in the past.

He sure will be. Definite sleeper potential.

Dobber thinking he will play top PP and get loads of time seems like the perfect recipe for a breakout.

EDIT: for what it is worth, CMac said he sees Nikitin slotting in on the second PP. Still a decent sleeper

Another interesting potential sleeper is Johnny Boychuk, at least in a pure points only like mine. He may already be valuable in multi-cat leagues

Seems to be finding his stride at the right time and career highs in goals and points last year. He gets little PP time though, so it all hinges on if he gets dealt or not. If so, say to DET, his value would dramatically increase since he'd be the right handed shot on the PP most likely.

It looks like BOS may have to move him for cap reasons and wherever he goes that cannon is likely to be utilized a lot more. He's one name I am keeping an eye on re trade speculation.

Good call on Hamonic, I think he starts to really excel in 2014 and puts up some points to go with his solid peripherals.

I'll go a little off the radar....thoughts on Sustr or Barberio in Tampa? There's always a chance they get some decent PP2 time, and they've got the skill set to put up points.

and yes, I do own them, which is partly why they came to mind quickly

I gotta think that Stralman and Garrison really hurt those guys' chances to put up numbers. Hedman looks to be utilized on the top PP and there is still Carle and Salo to think about in addition to Stralman and Garrison.

I don't know much about Sustr but I think that Barbs may be on the outside looking in. Just don't see much room for him - though he is signed to a one-way contact so who knows.

I agree, I don't think Stralman will take many pp minutes but Garrison definitely will.

Stralman is an interesting case. After Hedman, I would imagine that the PP time goes Garrison's way (along with a combination of Carle, Salo maybe Barberio), but lets not forget that Stralman was primarily an offensive D when he broke in. Now that his game has rounded out defensively, I wonder what role he plays in TB. He will likely be paired with Hedman which makes for some even strength points, and while I think he is a long shot to get PP time, it all depends on how well he fits in.

Dobber has him ranked higher than decent names like Muzzin, Russell, Kulikov, Weircoch, Myers, Hamonic so the potential is there. Just depends on how things play out.

I always like rolling the dice on players in a new situation.

Stralsy, tighten your chin strap, you're added to the list. Sleeper!!!
