Question Bergeron or Turris Next Season

Want to tap into the great knowledge base that lives here. Who is going to have a better year next season: Bergeron or Turris?

Stats this year to ground the question:

    Bergeron - 30 G / 32 A / +38, age 28 and coming off best year since 2006
    Turris - 26 G / 32 A / +22, age 25 and coming off career year

In my league goals worth double assists and +/- half the value of assists. Thanks!

I think Turris comes up a bit offensively and improves on his numbers. I don't think we have seen the best of him yet and will have the same linemates to start next year with. Bobby Ryan had a down year (my opinion, because of nagging injuries through the years) so if he sticks with Turris, and turns it around, I think that will help bump Turris' numbers as well.

I dont think Bergeron improves much on his stats from last year.

    Bergeron 60-65
    Turris 60-65 (shot at 70)

In cap leagues Turris has a $3m less cap hit. Points should be similar. But there's something about the consistency of Bergeron that makes me feel more comfortable. Turris has had just the one good year really. Bergeron has done it for several now.

Yeah, it feels like with Bergeron you get what you get. He probably doesn't have quite as good a year next year. Then it's all about Turris upside. Does he have upside to go past Bergeron next year? I'm not sure.

If FW are involved Bergeron has a big upside (1100+ FW this yr), but I truly see Turris as a great No2 center. I had him 2 seasons ago and he was a great center pick up for me. However the second Spezza went down with an injury and Turris moved up to the first line, he sucked. I didn’t quite follow Turris to much last yr (2013-14) but as long as he’s with Ryan and stays on the 2nd line, I can see him out producing Bergeron on points. I’d expect 20-25goals and 40ish assists. 25 goals if he shoots close to 250 shots (215 last yr).

If Spezza goes tho, I’m not sure how much fantasy relevance Turris will have in shallow leagues. I see this as a “if Bozak goes in Toronto and Kadri becomes No1 center, on paper it may look like Kadri will perform better”, but I don’t think it would.

Turris was first line C this year.

    I'd rather have Bergeron.

Bergeon numbers should be similar next season if he stays healthy.

Turris had a good year and I don't see him going down next season. With all the trade speculations with Spezza, he will secure the #1 C position and have a lot of PP time.

So I will take a risk and go with Turris.

Turris and Spezza both had roughly 18minutes of ice a game after looking it up. So 1a 1b lines I guess. Spezza had about a minute more PP time per game more than Turris tho. So I would say Spezza was 1A and Turris was 1B. Depth chart lists him as #2 too http://www.rotowire.com/hockey/player.htm?id=2783

Give me Bergeron, we know what he is. Turris still has a little bit of proving to do.

I will go with Bergeron. To me Bergeron is one of the most talented real life players in the league. The overall talent gap between him and Turris is massive. Now how does that translate to fantasy? I feel that Bergeon took steps forward in all aspects of the game this year, and that includes offense. I feel he can raise his offensive game even more as it seems he just has the ability to keep improving.

Agree I go Bergeron he has a better shot at 70 than Turris IMO...until Turris actually hits 70 and proves it.

i like Turris, with Spezza leaving he will be getting the prime PP minutes and #1C..but this will have its drawbacks as well, he wil getteh heaviest checking against his line if OTT cannot find another legit 1/2 C. even so ii like Turris..
