    Default Nash deal

A manager has sent me a message with interest in dealing Nash. Will he return to 70pt range? 100hits? What would you offer? League in sig.

65-70pt PACE... and a lot depends on what NYR does with their cap structure.

Do not count on the HITS coming back... definitely not.
Once a player begins showing a less physical game, it's typically a trend.

I think Gustav Nyquist for Rick Nash is a pretty fair deal/offer.
I see Nash as the better return, short-term... but Nyquist should emerge in 3-4 years as the more solid return. I wouldn't want to own Nash after around the age of 32, 33.

Nyquist is going to be a very solid player in the goal-scoring department, but he will be VERY, VERY light on PIM, HIT.

People usually go ga-ga over young kids that break-out.
I also expect Nyquist's SOG to not be so grand, as they have Zetterberg, Datsyuk, and Kronwall that will still do the majority of shooting on PPs.

+1 to this. But I do have cautious optimism he will get 70-100 hits next year. He's been hitting a tonne in the playoffs, and while it is playoffs, it also shows he isn't as timid anymore about his concussion.

He started with Marleau + Shatty then when I said no he countered with Hedman instead. Apparently it's because Marleau is 5 years older. So good luck to him I guess.

is age a category in your league or something and is it worth 5x as much as other categories

personally i wouldn't go Marleau straight up for Nash even with Hits as a category

Marleau and the "CBJ" Rick Nash are almost the same thing... Assuming that version of Rick Nash shows up. Doesn't make sense to trade a winger for a winger. Age doesn't matter... I think people are afraid of retirement

I HATE that I traded for Nash last summer. I'd always been able to stay away from him, but thought I was getting a good deal and expected a boost under Vigneault. Now I'm stuck in the never-ending vortex that is Nash's "upside". Ugh! Next year, right?

As for the deal.....obviously no haha.
