    too bad noone really cares about the world championships. its a bit easier beating Canada's C-team lol

    LOL true, considering how much weight Ovechkin puts on international success and Russia's failures recently, if this score holds up I think we see an extra motivated Ovi this year with the monkey off his back.

    if there was any year where ovechkin and/or his russian teammates puts it all together it wouldve been the sochi olympics. obviously that ended with them failing to achieve their goals. ovechkin is turning 29 in a few months, i highly doubt his game changes at all the rest of the way. i imagine any noticeable improvement will be strictly trotz getting the most out of him

    Was it the hand injury that kept Tarasenko from playing for Russia in the WC? Or was he not invited?
