A lot of teams will be kicking themselves for passing over him last year.

I traded Mantha for Ryan O'Rielly at start of season. Hope it is at least a couple years before it comes back and haunts me.

the teams that didn't take mantha are not surprised by the season he had nor will they be kicking themselves. It's all about nhl potential especially in the postseason. He was chl player of the year but there are many players who will be better nhlers than him and guys who will produce wins rather than points.

Either way, it will be many years before it is known.

IMO he gets a handful of games here and here with the Wings, but will spend the vast majority of the season in Grand Rapids. He still has a lot of work to do with getting used to NHL speed, shift length and whatnot.
