    Default Monahan vs. Kuznetsov

Should I keep Monahan or Kuznetsov for my final keeper spot?
    Its a 12 team 8 keeper league. H2H and start 6 F, 3D and 1 G every week. Points only

    Other keepers are:
    Crosby
    Ovechkin
    Malkin
    Getzlaf
    Johansen
    Huberdeau
    Letang

    Thanks for your help.

I keep going back and forth on this. Right now I'm leaning towards Kuznetsov. I think he'll bring more immediate results

I think Kuznetsov has the better potential for fantasy hockey

In APBA sim hockey I would prefer to have Monahan because of he is a key piece of the franchise skating big minutes and becoming a complete 3 zone player.
Consider Sim Hockey because guys who play shutdown minutes, deflect shots and clear creases build championships. Yet in fantasy they litter the unwanted UFA lists.

Give me Monahan...he'll be every bit as "money" as Kuznetsov with far less risk, only slightly less offensive upside.

    Tough one.

I think I would stick with Monahan. He is who Calgary seems destined to build around. Kuznetsov on the other hand is a complimentary piece to Backstrom and Ovechkin (albeit a very good one).

you don't have any other options here?

personally i don't like either of those guys short term in your league setup

they are fringe keepers at best in a 12x8 imo and in a 12 team start 6 F weekly league they are once again very borderline as starters imo

you have a team that looks pretty competitive out of the gate in a 12 team league

any way to put them together in a trade with a rebuilding team in your league and get one real player back for them

Forgot to mention that its also a salary cap league. So im sort of looking for a cheaper younger option to keep. Not very much interest in these guys to pair up and get a better player. Other options to keep would be Granlund, Barrie, Gardiner, Tyler Johnson or Ben Bishop, but no one in the league really keeps goalies so I could get a solid one in the draft.
