Pierre was on TSN Montreal 690 and said 100% he would not consider taking the GM job in Pittsburgh out of respect for his close friend Shero. He repeated it several times.
So Pittsburgh is a no go for Pierre. Now Washington that's a different matter. It is speculated that Pierre might take a management job with Shero as the GM.

it would be pretty hard to make pits any worse than they did this year. they have a great core of younger tallent and all youd have to do is fill in a few plug possitions to be better. even P.M. could do that.

I suppose if his buddy Shero came to him and said he wouldn't be disrespecting him by taking the job in Pittsburgh then maybe he would consider it. He also said he has never applied for a GM job in the NHL. He said that at that level you don't apply. If they want you, they contact you. He was just on the radio this morning and wouldn't confirm or deny if he has been interview for any of the open GM jobs but he did say that he is a big fan of Trotz.
