How many players do you start?
So this is my team in a full keeper and I am having a hard time on which 18 players to keep:
G Rinne
G Quick x
G Halak
D Kronwall
D Franson
D Emelin
D Yandle
D Shattenkirk
D Carlson
F Backström x
F Seguin x
F Perry x
F Couture x
F Landeskog x
F Bergeron x
F Nyquist
F MacKinnon x
F Ladd
F Granlund
F D. Sedin
F Nugent-Hopkins
F Voracek
F v. Riemsdyk
F Zuccarello
There are 10 teams in the league and the stats are as follows:
Goalies: SV%, GAA, W
Skaters: G, A, P, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG, FW, HIT, BLK
8 of 10 teams go to the playoffs.
I won the league last year and lost to the winner in the semifinals this year really close.
Guys with an X are the ones that I will keep for sure, but with the others I am having a hard time.
My team was very strong in Goals, Assists, Points, Powerplay Poinst, Shots on Goal. Weaknesses are PIMs and Hits.
Any input is highly appreciated.

I hate leaving Carlson/Kronwall off my list but I think D are easier to redraft and harder to rely on for production most years.

Thanks, my list is the same as Axeman33's, the only change I would make is to Drop Zuccarello and keep all 3 goalies.
You can always draft/work the wire for your other 3 dmen, even in my deep 16 team leagues there are always serviceable dmen that come out of the wood work each and every year.
You have 3 goalies that should start the vast majority of their teams games, which is nothing to scoff at considering how crazy the league has become with splitting starts....Id keep all three and trade either Rinne or Halak to a team that is desperate for a goalie once the season gets underway for a nice upgrade to your d or f.
Also, hate dropping Ladd, I feel he is undervalued you could always keep him instead of Granlund and just redraft the latter.
Good luck.

There are some good replies above, and my keepers are very similar to others.
The one guy I don't like on this list is Keith Yandle.
He's a top 10 fantasy scorer among D-men in "offensive formats"... but he doesn't HIT or BLK.
In HIT/BLK leagues, you really need to use defensemen to get those cats.
Your offense should come primarily from your forwards.
Think of it as a 2 for 2 deal.
Yandle + Dustin Brown.
vs.
D-Goon + Nyqvist.
Yandle (50pts) and Dustin Brown (40pts) gives you 90pts and lots of Hits... but no BLK.
Nyqvist (60+ ish points) and, say Johnny Boychuk (30pts) give you 90pts and lots of Hits... AND BLK.
And those Boychuk type players are easily found in redrafts, like Emelin.
Yandle is a player that I highly recommend trading in HIT/BLK leagues because he actually HURTS your defense.
If you roster 5D, you can't have only 3 or 4D getting BLK... you need them all to do that, because somebody else is going to beat you there... maybe most teams.
Forwards for offense.
Defense for PIM/HIT/BLK, also get them to supplement +/-. I like guys like Boychuk (BOS), Orpik (PIT), P.Martin (PIT) on my teams. Even guys like K.Millar (BOS) or McQuaid, if healty are good adds there.
But try to flip Yandle for an upgrade, because he really takes a BIG hit in value in HIT/BLK leagues.
A category is a category.
This shall never be overlooked in multi-cat.
Agree with Pengwin about Yandle and what you need from D. It's also another reason you should not let go of Ladd in a multi-cat.

Thanks a lot guys, very interesting inputs.
As for the goalies, I won't keep three of them because they are not highly valued in this league. Only 3 of 13 cats are goalies'. Current free agents are Anderson, Schneider, Ward, Luongo, Holtby!
I am thinking about letting go Rinne too and drafting one of these guys. Seems like Nashville will be a different team next year.
Interesting point about Yandle. I havent thought about him that way. Actually his +/- was pretty bad too, but you never know what happens with that stat next year.
I have done pretty good in Blks though, but I was really weak in hits am pims.
So far, I narrow it down to this:
G Quick x
D Kronwall x
D Shattenkirk x
F Backström x
F Seguin x
F Perry x
F Couture x
F Landeskog x
F Bergeron x
F Nyquist x
F MacKinnon x
F Nugent-Hopkins x
F Voracek x
F v. Riemsdyk x
question marks:
G Rinne
D Yandle
D Carlson
F Ladd
F Granlund
F D. Sedin
F Zuccarello
drops:
G Halak
D Franson
D Emelin
That means I could keep 4 of the 7 question marks. Currently leaning towards Rinne, Ladd, Sedin and Yandle. Trading Yandle could be hard though, as there are almost no trades in this league.
