Default Time to Trim the Fat (Help with keepers Please)

Scoring Details in my sig below. I need to keep 14. Seems an easy task until I sit down and really try to hammer it out.

Finished 2nd place this year about 500 points out of 1st. I have shitty Goaltending (prior to acquiring Bob) and the Loss of J.T. to probably thank for that. But I think I'm close to contending. WHo are the obvious keepers and who should I try and capitalize on making a move with?

    2 - C
    2 - L
    2 - R
    4 - D
    2 - G
2 - Utility (one spot can be used for a 3rd Goalie.

My Players (just realized this is redundant because they're all in my sig below)
    C - Tavares, Getzlaf, Kuznetsov, Jokinen(L), Hall (L)
    L - Hall (C), JVR, Kunitz, Jokinen(C), Silfverberg (R)
    R - Perry, Eberle, Gaborik, Pomminville, Silfverberg(L)
D - Karlsson, OEL, Burns, Ehrhoff, Gudas, Bieksa
G - Crawford, Bobrovsky, Lack, Neuvirth, Raanta, Gusty (The Monster),

Some I think are obvious, but I'd rather hear it from the experts just incase I'm missing an opportunity to make a move on a player I feel may be an obvious keeper.

    Thanks for the help Dobberites!

I think your bolded picks are about right.

    - I don't know if I would be keeping 4 D. I would likely keep Gaborik and Pominville over Burns and Ehrhoff or try and do a 2 for 1 trade for an upgrade.
    - If you are set on 4D, I would worry about Burns losing the D eligibility next year and keep Gudas over him.
    - Kuznetsov is another guy I'm not quite sold on, and you might consider looking at Gaborik or Pominville instead, but if you like his potential, he's not bad as a final keeper.

Trade wise, Kuznetsov might be a nice chip to pair with Pominville or Gaborik if you kind find someone that really loves him and gives you an upgrade in a 2 for 1.
Otherwise as I stated, I might try and package Burns/Ehrhoff with one of those three forward for an upgrade.

    Otherwise I think you're good.

    Keepers Bolded, Your pick underlined
    C - Tavares, Getzlaf, Kuznetsov, Jokinen(L), Hall (L)
    L - Hall (C), JVR, Kunitz, Jokinen(C), Silfverberg (R)
    R - Perry, Eberle, Gaborik, Pomminville, Silfverberg(L)
D - Karlsson, OEL, Burns, Ehrhoff, Gudas, Bieksa
G - Crawford, Bobrovsky, Lack, Neuvirth, Raanta, Gusty (The Monster),

Either keep Burns or Neurvith. If Burns loses his D position he’s not really relevant in a league that doesn’t count blocks or hits. Burns has his fans out there, I am not one, you may be. You may choose to keep him.

Neurvith may move from buffalo too. He’s kind of a gamble. In buffalo he may be the starter, or they may start Enroth. If he moves he either goes into a system that SUCKS even worse than Buffalo, or become a backup and not get any starts.

Thanks guys. Great feed back. Just to clarify...it isn't so much a choice...I must keep 2 of every forward position...4d, 2 goalies and 2 util which I can use in any one including a 3rd tender. So yes I need 4 d. And 2 or 3 tenders.

Ah didn't realize that was the case for your D, with that my list matches Axeman, although with your scoring I might take Bieksa over Gudas if Burns doesn't pan out.

Axe has it pegged right. These are your best selections.

In that case ya, your original and axe's picks are the ones to go with.

I would still consider Gudas over Burns, and might try a 2 for 1 package with the following players to try and get an upgrade if at all possible (depends on the league and demand):
    Kuznetsov, Gaborik, Pominville, Burns, Ehrhoff.

You and I think the same Ax!

As for Burns...our league allows me to keep him based on this year's eligibility. Therefore...one way to look at it...even if Yahoo takes away his D eligibility, I can still keep him as a D. Thereby keeping an extra Forward (top line at that...well...atleast for now...who knows what happens with the Sharks backlash after last night's loss) instead of a 4th Defenceman. I would think that Burns will still score at a pace to compare him to a top 25 D...so there still is value there. Then again...if I can't PLAY him as a D, then it really comes down to how good he is next year as a RW. So point taken.

I was going to try and see if I could move a Burns for possibly Morgen Riely (but I also fear that Rielly may take a year or two more to REALLy become fantasy relevant).
