Default Dustin Brown should lose his captaincy

This guy is washed up. A shadow of his former self really.

He should have his captaincy stripped in my opinion.

Maybe I'm bitter cause I put half my eggs in LA basket for playoff pool, but man this kid is terrible these days.

Am I the only one who thinks that or am I missing something.

i was thinking that during the season as well.. he was hovering around the 14-15 minutes of playing time for the majority of the second half of the season..
they weren't relying on him during the PP or PK anymore either.. I would think that a team captain should be counted on more than just merely dishing out a few hits a game.. with the addition of a few new players (gaborik) and young guys like toffoli, brown is not nearly as important to LA as he used to be.. the captaincy should have went to Kopitar to begin with

I'm with you there. Though it may be rash. Let's hear if he's been playing with a broken leg or something, first

Brown's albatross contract will now likely prevent them from re-signing Gaborik. I expect Toffoli to permanently surpass Brown next season. Richards also seemed to take a big step backwards. There will need to be a shakeup in personnel in LA after this embarrassing failure.

brown on a sutter coached team is toast. if you can snag him cheap do it...if LA decides the coach is the problem he could be in for a big boost.

Wonder if he's been battling an injury or something this year.

Is he a buy-out potential candidate? His cap goes up next year from $3.1 to $5.8.

Maybe LA could be pushing Brown for Spezza in the off-season?

    Career low shooting percentage: 7.7%
    mixed with limited PP time.
    mixed with limited minutes (16-min/game).

    Yup, he's toast.
    Mr. 50pts consistently is gone.
(and I remember somebody pumping his tires after the Stanley Cup playoffs that Brown was going to break-out... yeesh.)

I honestly am so pissed off at him, but as I mentioned its pure bitterness from my playoff pool.

Guaranteed out after round 1 sucks.

I don't even think he is the 6th most important playr on that team. I don't think its necessarily the coach problem there though.

Wow, demanding for a guy to lose his "C" because his team is struggling against a good Sharks team which may make you lose your playoff pool? I think that's going a bit too far.

Brown is having a down year, but the Kings as a whole aren't scoring enough goals to be contenders this season anyways. If anything should be questioned, is maybe giving him the captaincy in the first place. But stripping him of it just because he's having a bad year, that's just ridiculous.

    He's always been overated...
Third liner on a team with limited options on the wing...

Unloading Brown this year was one of my best moves, he's looked terrible all year. I also wonder if he's been playing injured, but he's been completely ineffective, even at the Olympics.

I wouldn't be surprised by this at all considering how he has played himself into a third line role by being ineffective all season long.
