Also - who do you think is missing? I had Trouba in there over Johnson, but Johnson still a great call

Would be very surprised if MacK does not win this, despite Palat's great season!

MacKinnon all the way. He has lived up to the hype this season and I think he is almost a lock to win it.

Would be completely shocked if MacKinnon did not win it. He has this locked up. Fanastic rookie season.

Just based upon rep alone MacKinnon has the upper hand, but until I looked at the stats I didn't realize how close they were in just about every aspect of stats.

To me I think you have to look at it based on who these two guys rode shotgun with for the majority of the season:
Palat - 49% with MSL and Tyler Johnson
MacK - 38% with Landy and Stastny

Palat then lined up with combos of Cally/Fillpula and Johnson/Panik a mjority of the other situations. While MacK got the privilege of hanging out with Duchene/RoR for a good chunk of the other situations with McGinn/Paranteau sprinkled in the mix.

Palat clearly lined up with the lesser talent (may not be by a ton, but still lesser) so he should be the one getting the votes.

Mackinnon should win. Hype will also help.
    Palat will finish 2nd.
    Johnson 3rd.

It is interesting that Krug fell from the race.
Many of us had Krug & Mackinnon as front-runners at about the half-way point.
(I don't believe we can search/find those posts from the missing era).

    MacKinnon, I assume.

But watching Palat play the Habs, he is truly impressive for a rookie. Always dangerous offensively, responsible defensively. This guy seems destined to become a gret two-way player. Best TB player on the ice throughout the whole series, IMO.

MacKinnon will win it. And regarding Krug, it's no surprise he didn't make it. He wasn't even the bets rookie d-man. Lindholm, Trouba and even Maata were better. Not looking at points only.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Mackinnon will win by a landslide. Most hype, most points and helped the team from 2nd last to a division title.

As far as possible omissions, I think it was a toss up between Johnson, Trouba, and Maatta. Lindholm was a notch below those guys.

MacKinnon gets it, but Palat deserves an honourable mention. He made it an interesting race.

Mackinnon for sure, but not unanimous like people thought. Palat deverses some Kudos.
