Default Kuznetsov vs Monohan vs Sifverberg

Kuznetsov has the most hype IMO but also has a precarious position of playing on a questionable caps squad that seems to be boom or bust.

Monohan had a great Rookie season, and is poised to be a top 3 guy in Calgary... But it's still Calgary which essentially the excitement of Carolina in western Canada. Glass ceiling?

Silfverberg is likely 3rd on the overall ski level... But could be poised to assume the top LW spot along side Getz and Perry (both of which I own)

In my shoes...who would you take as your final keeper?

I would probably say Kuznetsov. Be interesting to see how he settles in, and get a full season under his belt. Monohan would be my second choice, was a pleasant surprise this year. And Silf just has too much competition I think, otherwise may be a different story.

Tough call between Monahan and Kuznetzov (Silf isn't in the discussion for me) - but I think I'd go with Kuznetzov. Higher upside, far better (potential) linemates.

Hard to argue with this logic. Monahan won't line up next to Ovechkin or Backstrom next year while Kuznetsov most likely will.

In a keeper I'm taking Monahan over Kuznetsov. Much more long term stability and similar upside IMO.

There's a legit vote for Monohan. Ok...interesting. Consensus so far turns their back on Silf. Ok.

I think between Monahan and Kuz its very close

I do like Silf and I think he has a spot in Anaheims top 6 but he doesn't seem to be on the same level as the first 2

I'd probably take Kuznetsov, although I am a sucker for going after the home-run picks. Monahan is the safer pick and still has good upside but if the stars align I think Kuznetsov has the most "Boom" potential. Silf would be my 3rd choice, again a good option but I don't think his ceiling is as high as the other two.

Just based on what Monahan was able to accomplish with limited help on the Calgary team makes him a safe bet.

As a last keeper I'd go with the home run swing that is Kuznetsov. Monahan would be my second choice and i think Silfverberg is a step below them both.

Kuzy will prolly go from having center position to winger position next yr if Yahoo pays attention. This is always beneficial because the center position is so deep in fantasy. Monahan is a center, and I personally think he’s replaceable in fantasy leagues. He really had a good rookie yr, but he’s a defensive centerman who won’t pile up points in the next upcoming years.
Kuzy had like 10 points in 15 games? While playing 10minutes for the 1st 5 games. He’s already got a few years on rookies, so he’s physically more mature, which is beneficial. I would say if Kuzy gets winger status, this is an easy decision.

As others have said, Silfverberg is not in this class. He's a good young player, but he doesn't have the skillset of the 2 others.

That being said, I would prefer to have Monahan in real-life, but Kuznetsov fantasy-wise. With your cats, Kuznetsov will be more valuable due to the PPP, short and long term IMO.

But is the safe bet the best bet?
